National No Smoking Day 2012 - Take the leap!

Do you want to take the leap this year and quit smoking? You are four times more likely to succeed with specialist support from the Medway Stop Smoking Service. 

Here are our activities for National No Smoking Day 2012 on Wednesday March 14th;

The SOS Bus will be located outside Primark in Chatham High Street from 10am-4pm, providing specialist Stop Smoking information and support for those wanting to quit.

Our 'Fresh Medway' Stop Smoking Van will be on tour around Medway for people to visit at three different venues through the day:

. 10am-12pm – Rainham Shopping Centre, Rainham
. 12pm-2pm – Dockside Outlet Centre, Chatham
. 2pm-4pm – Morrison’s, Strood

The new Medway Stop Smoking Service video advert 'Is your habit giving you hassle?' is currently being shown on the large outdoor screen at Dockside and screens inside the outlet, so visitors will be able to meet the main actress and Sid the Cig at the Dockside Outlet Centre between 12-2pm.

There will be updates and photos posted throughout No Smoking Day on Twitter and Facebook, as well as a 'Find Sid the Cig' competition encouraging people to send in a photo of our Sid the Cig mascot when they spot it during the day to win prizes.

There will also be information stands at;

. 9am-4.30pm - Sunlight Centre, Gillingham (manned by the HALT Team)
. 8.30am-3.30am - Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham.
. 8.30am-3,30pm - Ante Natal Clinic, Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham.
. 11am-4pm - Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Chatham.All of our information stands will be providing stop smoking advice and No

Smoking Day 2012 freebies such as car air-fresheners, mints, toothbrushes, pens, wristbands and more.
