with homework, computers, TV and safety concerns, there are plenty
of reasons not to go outdoors and run around. Even at school young
people are sitting for much of the day. But bodies weren't designed

We want to encourage families to become healthier together, and
start having fun.
If you are concerned about your child's weight you might be interested in
MEND, our 10-week healthy
lifestyle programme for families.
MEND supports families on a one-to-one basis and over a ten week
period you can find out about eating healthily and getting more active.
If you are more interested in getting more active you should tell us. We can support you
to find activities that suit your family, your budget, and that fit
into a busy schedule. We'd also be happy to talk to you about

School Food Policy
During October 2015 the Supporting Healthy
Weight Team are undertaking a consultation of a new School Food
Policy. The draft policy can be read here. If you
