                    Top Tip

Not got much space to grow? You can grow many types of salad leaf in a container on a sunny windowsill, even into the cold winter months. Grow them in old plastic containers with holes in the bottom, keep the soil damp (it should feel like a damp sponge) and snip off the leaves as you need them.
