Stop Smoking in the Workplace

Stopping smoking in the workplace

The Medway Stop Smoking Service offers a range of support options across Medway, including group sessions and help for individuals. These can be accessed in a wide range of venues including health centres, pharmacies, GP surgeries, community centres and even on-site clinics for workplaces.

Trained stop smoking advisors, who offer a non-judgemental and supportive service, provide all of our services. They will give expert advice on the most suitable treatment for you and give a wide range of coping strategies to help you be successful.

There are different ways that a the stop smoking service could be set up in your workplace:

• Group – those employees who want to quit smoking can do so together, with the help of a trained advisor
• Drop in session – an advisor will be available for staff to visit them at a time convenient to them
• Online group – these are run exactly the same as a group - just via a computer so staff don’t even need to leave their desk to quit smoking

These are completely free and can be delivered in your workplace.

Register as a member on www.smokefreemedway.co.uk; a further source of support for Medway residents who are either interested in quitting themselves, or helping a friend or family member to quit successfully. Alternatively, call the Freephone number 0800 2346805.
